- WNY Snowboard Series was founded in 1994 by Pete and Donna Greene.

- The series initially only offered Halfpipe and Slopestyle events.

- At the 1995 Nationals, WNY Series was represented by 35 competitors. The Number of competitors that year attended Nationals hovered around 550. This past year, we had slightly over 1500.

- Over the last 10 years, the Western NY Series has attended Nationals at several locations across the country, which included; Mount Snow, VT (1996); Big Bear & Snow Summit, CA (1997); Telluride, CO (1998-1999); Waterville Valley, NH (2000); Mammoth Mountain, CA (2001-2002); Sunday River, ME (2003) Angel Fire, NM (2004); Copper Mountain, CO (2005), Northstar at Tahoe, CA (2006-2007) and Copper Mountain, CO (2008-2012).

- In 2001, Andrew Boorman became Co-Director of the series along side of Pete Greene. Pete over saw the Freestyle events, while Andrew over saw the Alpine events.

- After 10 years, Pete and Donna Greene retired from Co-Directing. Andrew, along with his wife, Nicole, now oversee all of the WNY Series.
